It seems that some settings in the engineering menu have to be done.
Is the necessary plug availalbe in "non blind assist" model (mine aren't even elechtrochrom)?

Blind spot assist can be retrofit on 2009 to latest model.Needs to be replaced right and left rear view mirror assembly with rear view mirror glass, right and left door control module and right and left rear bumper reader sensor and wiring harness and needs to be upgrade wiring harness to rear can and needs SCN coding to be activated the system on the instrument panel and central gateway.Any question email @ gnnmotors@aol.com
have you done this?
My previous C class had this option and the new one doesn't, i really miss it and would love to do a retrofit. Doesn't seem like too much work.

Bringing an old thread back from the dead - but I have seen where people have retrofitted.
My WIS membership ran out a while back. Does anyone with a membership have access to the retrofit info/can they post it? I'm strongly considering doing this - drove an E250 bluetec last week and have been thinking about making the upgrade - but am afraid I would miss the power at highway speeds. I'm batting around adding a few things to my C that I should have bought in the first place, one of which is blind spot assist.

if you position your mirrors correctly you wont have any blind spots.

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) published a paper in 1995 suggesting how outside mirrors could be adjusted to eliminate blind spots. The paper advocates adjusting the mirrors so far outward that the viewing angle of the side mirrors just overlaps that of the cabin’s rearview mirror. This can be disorienting for drivers used to seeing the flanks of their own car in the side mirrors. But when correctly positioned, the mirrors negate a car’s blind spots. This obviates the need to glance over your shoulder to safely change lanes as well as the need for an expensive blind-spot warning system.

I had a look at WIS (on-line) and I did not find any retrofit instructions for 204 blind spot assist. Speed limit assist and things like that are on the list.
I wonder if benzmodz really referred to the retrofit instructions or just that sufficient info exists within WIS (as long as one is experienced enough to use this info).

This retrofit has been completed successfully by a friend of mine who is the admin of mbclubtr forum. He retrofitted this system to his 2011 C250 CDI FL.

2013 C250 Sport Sedan
From UcP's link, it looks like the parts list is:
Left Mirror
Left Door module
Left corner sensor
Left sensor mounting bracket
Right Mirror
Right Door module
Right corner sensor
Right sensor mounting bracket
Wiring harness
Additionally, it looks like some programming has to be done using a dealer tool?
Does anyone have part numbers for these items and or estimated cost?
