Blown rear shocks?
Took my car in cause my cooling fan wouldn't shut off, and it was a easy fix, but bad news my rear shocks are blown. Car has only 44k miles, how is this possible? Anybody else with this issue?
Im planning on lowering my car in the future, possibly using coil overs, but for now, would anybody happen to have a set used shocks I can purchase?

How do you know they're blown? Were they leaking?
Reason for my asking is that I suspect mine are as the ride definately changed immediately after hitting a particularly brutal rain drain. I had the shocks checked but the MB dealership said they didn't find anything wrong with them. Actually, the suspension was too stiff before. Maybe now they're the way they're suppose to be.

If the rear tires a cupped the shocks are probably bad. If the rear tires are worn on inside or outside it is alignment. I have 30k on mine and the shocks are like new, so I would not buy the bad shock story.

well he told me I my rear shocks are blown, He is a close friend of mine which I have known for a very long time and I trust. I don't know if they cupped(don't even know what that means) or wearing unevenly as but he said my shocks need to be replaced asap so I'm doing that
