Getting UMI/Navigation 20 installed tomorrow, any tips?
Tomorrow I'm taking my '08 C300 to get Navigation 20 installed at the dealer.
I would like the COMAND screen and voice input but audio integration is my foremost concern as I am used to an aftermarket stereo in my old car that had great iPod integration. Currently my C300 does not have the iPod kit.
Any tips for making sure everything goes well? How do I make sure they SCN code to show the 'Navi' option in the cluster? I've read some threads where people had to go back and the dealer is around an hour away and I'd like to avoid having to go back!

Here is my experience with the install :

And some pictures :

One of the other forum members showed me a trick : you can adjust the volume level individually for each of the inputs so that if you switch back to the radio / sirius it is not blaring.
Press the clear / back / and round silver controller all at the same time ( this will take you into programming mode ). You will then be able to adjust the individual volume settings for the iPod, USB, and audio streaming.
Any specific questions, let me know...

Does the mute button pause the iPod as well as the USB and other sources?

I am basically having the EXACT same experience. Dealer's first time with UMI. I initiate ALL contact.
Left the car on Friday was told it would be done by the end of the day. Then they said it would be done on Saturday. Now Monday and they say they can't get the unit to power on.
I am FED UP with waiting. At least give me an update. I could have done this myself faster.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I know how frustrating it can be. Did you get a decent price for the unit and install ? Will they knock any more off since it is taking so long to complete ?
The good news is you should be pleased when you finally get your car back. Being able to load a ton of music on a USB drive is great, and I probably use the bluetooth streaming more than anything else ( works great with the iphone ).
Interested to hear your overall thoughts on the unit. Good luck !

Navigation 20 for W204
Hi,
I would like to install Navigation 20 on my MB W204 - MY2010
But I feel there is a confusion between Navigation-20 and Navigation20 / UMI options
Could anyone bring clarification on this subject ?
Thanks

Really makes me enjoy the car more as I'm not constantly fussing with my iPod and cables.
