Those high prices are usually a placeholder if the product is out of stock. I know it's still showing as available, but that is only because the seller doesn't want to end the listing and then have to pay another insertion fee.
It much cheaper to change the price and extend the listing a few hours before it ends for another 14-30 days, that way they only have to pay insertion fee once and only pay a sold fee for each order.

Well, they got $104 on an auction that ended at $966 plus $148 for shipping. Depending on how you want to calculate the percentage, it's still around 10%. As you said, then there is paypal.
Unfortunately, they pretty much have a corner on reaching a lot of people.

ya luckily they just started recently giving 2o% final value discounts and free insertion fees if u hit top seller status which isnt that hard as long as you have 1 day handling and a 14 day return policy and ship a few things each month
