Front bumper lip attachment question
I am in the market for an aftermarket lip and I'm just curious as to how they are attached Do they come pre drilled and do you guys use double sided tape to attach them or what do you do?

its a *****... with one person and takes lots of pressing and pulling... and self-tapping screws.... i did it the second time all by myself, and it came out 100% fitment but was the worse mod installation yet...
musch easier the first time when I put the car on a lift up overhead and had 3 people pressing and drilling...

I have all the means to do it, im just curious if anyone has used doubled sided tape at all (for the front of the lip) while using bolts or screws on the bottom

I used 3M's acrylic plus automotive attachment tape on the entire length of the front lip where it'll get in contact with the front lower bumper. I drilled a total of 6 tapping screws on the bottom to secure it in place.
The CF front spoiler I got had a lot of tension where it wraps around the corner bumper. Just observe if that section will stay secure in the next couple of days. If the tape starts to slowly peel away from the bumper then I recommend you to use small tapping screws coming from the inside of the bumper. It all depends what kind of front lip you're getting. Some are spot on and some have slight gaps.

Ive put quite a few on, fitment varies alot. I usually use double sided tape to tack into place then bolt and nut it in. Ive seen self tappers too, Ive also used clip nuts on the bumper and a screwbolt into the lip. Helps if you have a xtra hand, 2 guys is real quick. Lift is crucial for a good install. The ebay ones ive done mostly fit like crap, the eurosport or eurotek dont remember which was spot on fitment......
