Random throttle on Idle? need help!
hey guys,
I notice a random throttle when i was idling (car in drive, and foot on brake) today for a second or two from 1000rpm to 1500rpm.. I think it is because of the K&N air filters i put on yesterday after my 40k oil change. Can anyone confirm that or thoughts on this matter, and if it is a air filter issue, should i change it back to OEM ASAP?? any help and suggestion would be appreciated.

Happened to me once on an RX-7 that I used to own a long time ago. It would rev up and down for a while and then even out. It turned out to be a disconnected air hose on the throttle body. This is a totally different car so I don't know if it would have a similar cause.

u know what?.... i think i might of assemble it back incorrectly.. i will have to double check later to see if everything sits in place tightly... (lets hope that's the issue)

You have to retrace your steps from what you did yesterday when you installed the filters. It should be an easy find and fix.

You did not snap your engine cover back on properly causing false readings on your MAS which causes the engine to hunt. Common problem with the W204.

yeah it seems i didn' snap in the two back clips on the cover

lets hope that was wat caused the issue! thanks guys
