Does the box look like the one listed in that link? I jumped on the grenade and went ahead and ordered some. Worse case I am out 35 bucks.... Best case, I solve my biggest complaint about this car, the stock door pins are so hideous. I will let you know how these turn out when they arrive. I am hoping they do not have the AMG badging, in that my car is not an AMG and I don't like pretending to be something its not. Unless of course, I had an AMG and wanted to pretend it was just a C300. sleepers are fun.

I believe the rear door pins can simply be pulled out with a firm grip and upward motion. The front door pins need to be unscrewed by turning counter clockwise.

Domm is correct. Be REALLY CAREFUL putting the rear pins back on. You can break the shaft that they connect to. Or shove it down inside by accident. According to the seller, these do not have a logo. For an extra 20 bucks you can have the AMG on them. However, I didn't want a logo so these are good for me. And so cheap. I may just put a small bead of epoxy on the rears and click it down gently. I can't think of a reason to ever have to take them off again.

Is this true for the C350s also? I tried to unscrew the front ones and was afraid if I tried any harder I'd snap them off. They were torquing but didn't break loose. Wasn't sure if I should just try harder so I stopped...

This.

I have a C350 and before I try it, I wanna make sure that I don't mess it up. Door pins are in fact one ugly thing about this car.

No i just popped them in. The Door panels have to be removed for it to snap in all the way, i just didn't feel like taking it off all the way. But for now its good. It makes no sense why Benz designed it so cheap for the rear. But the whole process took 10min...

The ones that I ordered are just the aluminum, no badging whatsoever. That explains the price difference. I will post photos once I get mine installed.

I have those on my car also. I removed the rear doors and pushed some R/C car fuel line inside the new lock to secure it a little better. They look sooo much better than those hideous stock ones. I beleive there is a write up on it somewhere on here.

Just searched and I can't seem to find it. It wasn't too hard though. Remove a couple of screws on the bottom of the door and I think one in the handle(I can't remember right now) and then the panel is held on with the typical clips. Apparently some people have done it without removing the rear doors, but I felt like mine were going to snap. They have a twist lock, about a quarter turn. The fronts I had to wrap with a rag and then use some vice grips to unscrew them.

I just wish MB would eliminate these completely. So prehistoric. And they just happen to be perfectly spaced to be right under your arm if you enjoy driving with your windows down with your arm on the sill. So annoying.

Just got mine in and installed the front two. I am going to skip the rears for fear of breaking the mounts. They look sooooooo much nicer. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with a C300. Those where 35 bucks shipped, took about 2 weeks to get them, but when they came in they fit perfect. Again I didn't mess with the rears, but I doubt there was any problems there. The 35 dollar ones don't say AMG or anything, Just nice and simple plain aluminum.

Ordered mine off ebay & received them in the post today (plain ones - no logo)

Pulled my existing pins off no hassles. Fronts need to be unscrewed & rears simply pull out.

The front pins are pretty straight forward to install, they screw straight back in. As others have mentioned, the rears do not "pop" back into place in the same way they were pulled off.

Besides having to pull the door trims off or resorting to glue, has anyone found any other fixes to get the rears into place? It's so puzzling that they don't just pop back in the same way the stock ones come out....

Also I noticed that my fronts dont sit as flush (when locked) as the ones pictured above, any advice plz? I think I've screwed them in all the way (but I didn't want to screw any further in fear that I might overtighten the thread)....

Any advice plz?

I have the non-logo pieces. They took about 3 weeks to arrive from Taiwan. For the front you can screw them as far as you want to the height you want. The driver's side provided a lot of resistance once it got to the standard location, but my passenger side kept screwing in after slight resistance (less gunk or whatever on the lower parts of thread that the pin goes on?). To be fair, the right pin is a little loose now, but it's nothing that cannot be fixed by applying some glue/sealant/whatever on the threads. I had to turn the driver's side pin a bit harder to make them go down more, but there does not seem to be any issues after doing that.

Edit: Oh and like elcid, I didn't bother with the rear doors. The biggest reason is for function (can't stand the old pin stabbing into my arm when I'm cruising and want to enjoy the drive while having my left arm on the doorsill) and the back seats only get used a handful of times a year.
