2012 C250 Sports Sedan / Fire Opal
Smile Joining the W204 with a 2012 Sport Sedan!

Hi Guys!

I will be picking up my c250 equipped with sport package next week and cant wait to get around in this car. I went for a test drive earlier in the day and found it has great response for a 1.8t car. Loving the red colour, which is fire opal (also called MARS RED in some other countries). it caught my attention straightaway. It is currently in the dealership, waiting for it to be ready and should be picking it up next week. Cant wait to get to know more of the car.

The eco START/Stop feature is something i am not used too yet tho. what do u guys think of it? i been looking in the forum for mods done to this facelift model but there is not much atm. if u guys do have any pics, please share! looking forward to MB C-Class (W204) more!!

Welcome to the forum I can imagine a bright red car catching my attention right away as well!

I'm disappointed that there isn't a way to turn the Start/Stop feature off like in the 4 cylinder BMW engine. Although it's an economical feature, it is very abrupt and I would think that it'd raise some concerns during the test drive.

Hi there Domm!

Yea it was kinda weird for me at first as the car was so quite and i feel the engine died lol. after releasing the brakes, it turn back on almost instantly. i will test it out to see how much difference in mpg with it turned off when i get my hands on it. There is a way to switch off the Start/Stop feature by turning off the eco mode at the central console. Lucky for that lol.

Real nice, can't decide for sure, but I think I still prefer the Sedan over the new coupe, it's just so much more proportional.

yea the car before this was a coupe i drove a audi TT before and i think its time for a change. W204 C-class models has been catching my attention for quite some time and just as i decide to get it, the facelift model came in time in my country. This Fire opal colour is just awesome looking.
Best part the dealership is throwing a lucky draw for this 25 c250 units, whereby the prize is a SLK 350 AMG package. Fingers-crossed!

I got mine back in April after a 5 month wait because I wanted the lighting package. For the 2012s, the lighting package caused huge delays in the US if ordered.

Other than factory accessories, no mods yet. Was thinking about a Burger Motorsports tune, but quite frankly after driving it for 6,000 miles I have decided that the stock power is more than enough for my needs.

I think a single bar SL style grille and tinted windows are in the future. I have a rare color and like how it looks stock for the most part. Strangely my car does not have the normal 2012 rear spoiler but has what appears to be a C350 spoiler from the factory.

Ah nice. i was lucky enough to get the lighting package here as there are only 25 units atm. during the test drive i realise the car have sufficient power and the car feels very very agile. No matter which jap car i drove, it doesnt have this feel. i think generally now mercedes cars are over engineered lol.

Which rare colour are u refering too? share some pics! i am planning to get addon CF parts.

Welcome to MBW!

Make sure the tow hook covers are back on the car when you take delivery, eh. That and make sure they put the hooks back in the jack/tool kit. Wonder why both were on the car?

in the US, the color is called Sapphire Grey. It is a grey with blue and green tones to it - it was only available on the 2012 sedans and from what I gather did not sell well.

I'm traveling right now so I don't have any pics on the computer - I have a few in my garage on here (click the link under my username).
