W205 rumor mill: 333hp V6?

C250 = 2.0 liter = 211 hp
C300 = 2.0 liter = 252 hp
C400 = 3.0 liter = 333 hp

I hope that Mercedes brings the c class wagon to the U.S. to compete with the BMW f31 sport wagon.

Two V-6s, one a diesel. Is the C-63 still a V-8 or is it a V-6? Can't tell from the table. Everything else is 4-cylinders. Odd that the designation C-400 is used even though the are no 4-liter engines.

It was announced two weeks ago that for the UK market next year, no more V-6s in any flavor.

Very discouraging.

In the photos, the C-Class and Passat wagons look almost the same, separated mostly by price, I'll bet.

I'm sure glad that my C300 has only 36K miles and is equipped just as I want it because the upcoming stuff is a bit discouraging.

C400 is going to compete with 335i, Audi s4/5 from the looks of it. I don't mind if the c300 is a 2.0liter i4 look at the power of that thing, I bet it's good on gas too

Would that be 2014 for Canada too? Or do we usually have to wait one extra year.

I don't want a car in this price range, from any manufacturer, with a 4 cylinder engine. This is just my opinion of course. So if I can't get a V6 in the W205 platform, I will go elsewhere.

Uh? The c400 is a v6 for sure. Like I said its competing with 335i and s4/5 which are v6s. The c63 is a v8 for sure. But then again those numbers are just rumours.
