Hi I might be a new MB owner!

We are looking at a 2008 navy blue C220. From doing some researching it seems that this car's trim is "classic" as it lacks a few bells and whistles from others I have seen on the web.

For starters the gauges in the instrument panel are "empty" in the middle, I only have the small rectangular ODO and trip computer. Also it has the small not motorized screen with it is yellowish monotone look and the 4 button steering wheel.

I was looking for information on this screen but I cant find much. What can I do with this radio unit? Can I connect it to my iPhone 4s for calls and streaming music?

I wish the car had a rear view camera, is there a way to connect one to this specific model? Are there any after market ones that fit well inside a benz?

I dont know much about the display..i just picked one up with that small screen and just leave it closed.

As for your iphone, some have an ipod connect in the glove box, which allows you to stream music, but it must be kept in the glove box. Mine came with bluetooth for calls, NOT for audio (only the new ones have that)
there are a lot of threads for rear view cameras..do a quick search and youll see a few options.

It's the Audio20, you can play a CD listen to the radio and connect youre IPhone to
Call. Nothing more ... Audio by phone with this Audio 20 is only with the MM kit.

And if they have putt navigation on it you can navigate

Butt dont think it has this option.

Why dont you search for an Avantgarde ?
And go for one with Command, much nicer screen.

 

About the camera, thats a no for the Audio20, with command it can be fitted if i'm correct.

 

With Audio 20 system, you can add camera and dvd also but you have to buy multi media interface unit. You can easily find on eBay.
Small screen for camera is ok but for DVD it is too small...

This car has the lavish equipment level of a Cairo taxicab. It lacks ALL of the bells and whistles. Spend a bit more to find a car with the equipment you want.

My wife and I were not looking for a MB but actually were in the market to replace her car a small crossover (not a benz) but the bank suggested we take a look at a few of theis company cars that where available for sale and the only one that caught our atention was this one.

The suv we where considering cost US$ 28,000 (brand new) and we made an offer for US$ 22k for the benz and we are waiting for the bank to accept it.

The car is. In excellent condition but we wonder if it is better to buy a brand new car or go with a 4 year old benz.

 

what does the 2010 c300 sport base model have? cuz i noticed it has a iPod cable in glovebox, but the headunit doesnt have any aux option?

 

I think the AUX is in the glove box also, it is in my 2009 C350

 

what I mean is once the ipod is plugged in...how do i make the sound come out from speakers? the radio only has 2 options "CD or Radio".

 

Go to cd. In the bottom left corner you will see and AUX option. Use the middle wheel to navigate to it and click on it
