Need Help Adjusting Windshield Washer Nozzles
Is this for loosening/tightening the nozzle, allowing for manual adjustment, or does it move the nozzle as you turn it? I started turning the driver's side screw but couldn't tell what effect it was having.

Anyhow, our nozzles are not the standard little pin holes that can be adjusted with most any pointed object. The are more like little slits and mine seemed to migrated down to the point where they are hitting partially below the lowest point of the wiper blades.
Anyhow, I turned what appeared to be an adjustment screw counterclockwise and the seemed to aim up just a little more. It was very subtle but hopefully it will have done the trick next time I try it out....of course it may be shooting over the car but at least I will know what to do to home it on proper adjustment.
I wonder what is so wrong with a "pinhole and needle" system that made MB want to do this??Thanks for the info stosoorok, looks like I will have another project this weekend.
edit: I got hands on to that original adjustmet tool. It's very easy to adjust with it. Couple of minutes and all done!

Thanks.
I'll ask the dealer to adjust mine when I'm in for service. If they won't do it for me then I'll add it to the cons list on buying a Mercedes again. If they will, I'll add it to the pros list. It doesn't rain often here but mix some light rain with desert dust kicked up by the wind and you get one cruddy windshield.
