What the dealer says about my rough shifts
I talked to my dealership about my "rough shifts" that I've had with my CPO C350. They say it's because the ECU was reset and it's learning the way I drive. My understanding was just the opposite. The ECU was driving the way the old man that had the car prior to me drove.
Do they reset as part of the CPO checklist? I've put 5K and it's acting the way it did the day I bought it.

it doesnt take 5k to "learn the way you drive"..do a search for the tranny reset and give it a few hundred miles to pick up your new driving habits.

The dealer is talking crap. Tell them to make sure you have the latest TCU software flash & to check all adaptions with Star to ensure correct lock up pressure for each gear etc.

Agree with Glyn, the TCU software update is for all 7G before mid-2010, and will improve performance. The difference should be immediate, however after a while the 7G will become sluggish again "learning" that you drive like an old lady every time you come to a traffic light or stop sign, city traffic, mall parking lot etc.

Now, I had to retire about 10 years before I intended ( due to medical disabilty -- with that much pain, I could not have done the 1989 design of the 3-spoke graphite/epoxy wheel that Lance Armsrong used during each TDF (along with mother's little helper)).
Retired, I can avoid rush hours and aggressively drive the car --- shift great all the time now. Not sure if that's the case with a W204.
