Past 03 SL500,03 C240, 07 E350, 07 ML350, 10 ML350,11&14 E350 X2 2017 E300, 2017 C350e & 2000 S500

I tried to do this with a LED bulb, I tried with 10 different bulbs but the adapter and the tangs would not budge. I cannot get it to lock into place, I tried bending it in and out but it seems that there is something always in the way and cant figure it out. Im defeated and would appreciate if anyone that has done this with a LED bulb and the adapter successfully would help me out.
