Service at 86K miles

Hey Gang,
I still have another 4K miles or 4 months to go till my next B service, but I am considering an intermediate service just to stay ahead of things so I don't get hit all at once. I think I have had all the required services at one point or another. I would like to take it in tomorrow to have the coolant flushed / replaced. It's the only thing I have not done yet (I think).

I have 86,000 miles. What else might / could warrent attention at this point? Much thanks.

Im not as familiar with this engine as I am with my w208, but at that mileage (85-100k) I swapped out the spark plugs, fuel filter, cleaned out the maf, and changed out the engine and transmission mounts. The mounts are only needed if there is a strong vibration felt by the driver though

I think plugs are due around 100K - anyone do them yet? I didn't do the fuel filter yet, thats a possibility, I'll save the mounts untill they tell me they are bad, still very smooth. Cleaned out the MAF already too.

Thanks!

If the cabin air filter isnt part of the 100k mile B service, this should be done also. Another 2006 Merc (not the W204), is due for its 200k mile service soon.

Coolant change is at 15K miles. Why do it early?

Coolant change is at 15 years according to my book. Don't waste your money.

It would be advantageous if you read your service schedule in your manual . It will give you full details of what servicing is required.

Do the homework properly yourself & be in charge of the servicing of your own car as it will save you $ in the end.

Good luck.

Well no kidding. Coolant change is 150K miles or 15 years, so is the fuel filter. Spark plugs are at 91K miles / 5 years though it seems like thats the only thing going to be due soon...
Thanks guys
