2012 c250...how to disable traction control?

My gl320 is at the dealer and they've given me a 2012 c250 sport as a loaner...nice car! But one thing is really bothering me - how the hell do I turn off the traction control? Can't seem to find the button anywhere...

I have not done it on the new c but on the new e its on the mileage screen thin with the buttons on the steering wheel go left or right over to setting and there should be a ESP setting to turn it off and on. Its not a button.

Exactly what he says,go to the settings menu in the screen inside your speedmeter, and you can turn off esp there

On my 2012 C350 (US) it is actually a stand alone option accessed through the instrument gauge as described above. It is called DriveAssist and it displays whether you want the ESP on or off. Unfortunately I don't think it turns it completely off like my BMW 128i used to.

To turn it all the way off i think you press press the hang up button and thin ok and hold 5-10 seconds thin go to dyno mode but you will lose abs.

I'm thinking the other question - why are you wanting to disable this on a loaner?

Don't waste your time - brake intervention is very aggressive even with ESP off... You get .25 second of fun and then the nannies come on.

What is with the coffee cup logo thingy on the instrument cluster?

You can see what I'm talking about here: (At the 2:51 mark)

The coffee cup is part of the driver awareness monitor. The car monitors your inputs into the system including steering and the accelerator. If you start being sluggish or driving much different than you initially did then a warning sound is issued and the coffee cup becomes large recommending that you stop.

In Seattle it also turns green when ever you are within 0.5 mile of a Starbucks ; )
