Here is the install of the camera in my car
hardwired to the battery with a Power Magic Pro that monitors voltage to prevent battery drain.

I love the quality of the video and the parkmode.
There is a group by on a canadian forum for it: http://www.puremb.com/forum/showthre...Video-Recorder

They also used the same pics for the install, enjoy

awesome setup!! I was really looking into these but I'm just trying to think of a way to make the camera more "hidden". Don't want any of the theft attempts when GPS' first came out.

I just got the cam and the footage does loop, so I havent really kept track of how long i get.
Also in park mode it only records when there is motion or impact

It's direct to the battery terminal.
However the blackbox monitors voltage so it doesnt leave u with a flat battery.

It would be nice if the camera records both front and rear. The rear view will record almost the entire interior plus might also see most of the side windows and will be really usefull for rear ended collisions and being side swiped not to mention break and entry plus it would be cool if there is a separate storage space on the car where it backups the videos so that if a thief steals it they wont be anle to steal the data as it is stored somewhere safe inside the car.

Except that the picture is too dark, looking at the Youtube demo.

I have the brightness set to default, it can be increased
but as you see in the video it's enough to see the license plate, so I'm happy with it

I got this exact same model on my W204 as well. It's pretty good, but the quality gets less than ideal in direct sunlight. Also there is a known overheating issue with this, so as a friendly tip, keep in in the glove box when not in use! Unless you bought the parking mode kit to go with this...in that case...keep it in the shade. Oop, just re-read, seems as though you did. But still, I'm sure it'll be handy. You'd be amazed at the amount of close calls I've caught on film.

Sucks though. I kinda got shafted due to the fact that the DR 400G HD v2 came out a month later. Had I known, I would have waited out for that one. Apparently that one has the overheat issue solved.

nice! looking to install one of these in my car here in china... too many ppl trying to run car accident scams. What's the diff between the blackvue and finevue?

ps your questionable lane change is considered more than enough for 2 cars to merge over here

I have something similar that does record front and rear using the widest angle lens possible, I think 180. However the reverse side mainly records the inside of the car so I'm debating getting a second one to mount on the rear glass specially since my wife was rearended just recently, thankfully the other drive was honest and paid up. Any ideas of how to power it?

As J said its a huge help specially here in Asia.
