Question about 2013 w204 lighting package

Quick question for anyone with a 2013 and lighting package. I could of sworn that the drl was the bottom LED's where the fogs are and also the little LED C inside of the light housing. I could swear yesterday when I picked up the car thats how it was working all day yesterday but today I'm seeing the only way to get that on is with the actual xenons on. Can someone let me know if Im going nuts please. Also, the strip of LED's that are used for the turning signal, I've seen a few pics on here where people had them lit up like the audi's but they were in blue not orange, does anyone have any DIY for that. I have access to star and autologic so if its a coding thing I can perform this rather effortlessly, just don't feel like searching through the developer menus in german to find out if it exists or not.

Much Appreciate

You can turn the DRL constantly on from the dashboard. If the DRL option is turned on, it doesn't matter whether the xenons are on or off. Just keep it in AUTO and they will stay turned on all day long.

Are you talking about the LED BARS on the bottom of the grill, or are you talking about the LED C inside of the light housing unit? I'm speaking about the little C LED that is located inside of the housing unit.

Thanks in Advance

I have 2013 with Lighting Package and I am on the same boat with the OP.
I spent sometime playing with the control command but could not figure out when the C LED supposed to come on without the Low beam which I've seen a few times. I just put the switch to Auto and let the car decide

In order to have the C lights on, you need to turn the light switch to the symbol on the left of Auto - just turn it to the left from Auto once and you are done.

Mine does the same thing on occasions. Looks like there's only 2 of us here who have noticed this weird lighting behavior with adaptive bi-xenon HL. Please keep us updated. TIA

2013 C 300 Sport 4 Matic
Hello All,

I have a 2013 C 300 Avantgrade Sport 4 matic. It has all the available packages minus the Lightning package. So, I have bought the after market headlights. I have few questions

1. When do the C shaped LED Strip turn on? Right now it turns on along with the Xenon Projectors. How to turn on only the C LED Strip?

2. The small bulb behind the C shaped LED never turns on. Even though I put on the high beam, only the projectors beam increase but the small bulb doesn't glow.

Do anyone has come through these kind of problems? Also, any suggestions on how to turn on only C shaped LED are welcome.

I am also planning to take it to the Mercedes Dealer. They charge $139/hr for only labor.

Thanks In Advance.

2011 W204 C180 GGI (FL)
Sorry to revive and old thread, just wondering if anyone found the solution to OP's question?

I recently bought my 2011 W204 facelift model with the LED C-shaped lights and LED light bar on the lower bumper. So the LED light bar is the DRL whenever I drive with bright sunlight.

Whenever I turn on the city/parking lights (turn the knob left from "Auto" position) only the C-shaped LEDs turn on, and the LED light bar will be off. My question is, is there any way to have the C-shaped LEDs turn on with the LED light bar when my switch is set to city/parking lights? The reason being, at certain times e.g. during light drizzle, I wouldn't want to drive with the full low beam (its too bright) but then the C-shaped LED city lights are too dim. if only it can come on together with the LED light bar would be perfect!

Somehow I saw another W204 on the road a few days ago, managed to get this set up figured out, i.e. it had its rear tailights lit (so I know he has lights switched on) and his front C-shaped LEDS plus the LED light bar was on! And also, my car would do the same whenever I unlock it at night, but when driving, I couldn't figure how?

you don’t say what country you are in, but in the USA MY2013 C-Class does not have fog lights in the lighting package. The LED light strips on either side of the lower grill are just DRLs, which can be selected ON or OFF via the system menu pages
