2009 C300 - Music over Bluetooth with iPhone

I know that this issue has been brought up many times before - streaming music over Bluetooth with an iPhone in a pre-Command 2009 C300. I have an iPod package (the frustrating iPod cable in glove box).

My question - The apps Waze and Google Maps on my iPhone can successfully give audio directions over the car's Bluetooth (halts music/radio to give directions). So wondering that there HAS to be a way to stream music over Bluetooth too! Any suggestions?

I have the same iPod package in the glove box with the Command System. I have the iPhone 4S. When I attached my iPhone it does not charge or show on the screen. This is the first time I used the iPhone. I had a BlackBerry before so I never tried the cable before.

I did not find any mode on the screen for use with the iPod cable. I know you have the Pre-Command System which is different then my vehicle.

my friend who is in the tech industry has told me that its because the profile that is available in the early model w204's do not include A2Dp which is the profile that is suitable for stereo music.

The profile that we have is only suitable for voice, not music. And if we stream music to it using our existing profile, it will sound like crap.

Yea I've seen that around but its quite a ghetto solution. Along with the fact that you spend a lot of time and money rigging it up you also have to wait for the airport to start up each time you turn on the car in order to establish the connection. Too much to deal with.

There is a product supposed to come out soon (is finally in production) made by a Korean company. It is the Kivic One, anyways I know they have had many delays but according to their FB page they should be on sale soon.

That looks like one big mess in the glovebox !

I know theres gotta be a simpler solution to streaming music from my IPhone 7 to the speakers... Confused as to what to buy.
Any insight from any members here would be greatly appreciated !
