LED Side Mirror Puddle Lights for Redesigned LED Mirror Housings
Hi all,
Does anyone know either the type of incandescent bulb or the retrofit LED bulb that goes into the side mirror housings? It's for the lights that shine down onto the ground before or after the motor shuts off. I asked AZN Optics, but he doesn't know what'll fir in there.
I did a search, but I didn't see anything useful.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the great info guys! IIRC, when I used some force to pull out my mirrors on an Audi I had a while back. I'll also consult with a buddy of mine that works at a body shop for confirmation.
There's not space to grab the whole mirror with my fingers lol I'm just too scared to brake something lol btw there are so many shapes for the T10 bulb..can you post a pic of the right shape for that bulb? Thanks in advance

The glass comes off in the same manner as past Audis I've owned. Here's how I did it. Forgive the iPhone pictures...
First, push in the inner, wider part of the mirror, so the outer, narrower part sticks out. Pull on the outer end firmly until the mirror pops out.

Next, take out the 3 silver-colored, outer screws that hold in the motor. Unplug the motor so it's out of your way.

Use a pry tool to carefully pop out the light housing from the retainer clips.

Carefully pull the housing off the rubber grommet. It's held on by a bit of friction and compression.

Swap Bulbs. I used this CC as my pry tool.

Test to see if it's working before you close everything back up.

I bought them off eBay, and I paid about $5 including shipping. These came from China, and I really got what I paid for - they're not as bright as I was expecting. I should gone with the ones with the bright Cree LED's instead of these jump-offs

This is the mirror from a dealer loaner car given to me yesterday. The mirror is hella-strong. Notice the thickness of the back plate, and the shape of the metal retainer clips to break away from the controller motor when pulled:

you saved me time and resources haha ...can you gives the link to where you bought that bulb from? I'm dying to do this mod
