HELP W/ HID conversion kit.

Hello Peeps,
I need help with getting a good HID conversion kit for a c300 sport, both for the lows and fogs...so many to choose from,Grrr!
I got some phillips 5000k bulbs to replace the stocks, but the low beams illuminate practically nothing...like dangerously nothing.
Please help...links are appreciated, tips on mounting brackets and tips about error cancelers are appreciated.

Thnx!!

There are a lot of threads regarding hid recommendations at your disposal. I use a kit from theretrofitsource.com. They cost more than your low end kits but you'll get your money's worth. I've had them for a year and haven't had any issues.

Any chance you can give me specifics on what you ordered? They seem to have a lot of options.

The h7 hid kit. You can choose either the can bus harness or heavy duty relay since you don't need either of them. The hids have a built in error eliminator.

Definitely you will lose visibility with "5000k" halogens. Don't waste money on halogens and just do a HID conversion.

Adding the Can-bus harness doesn't affect cost.

I personally run 35W, I have heard issues of running 55W but it's a debate. Truthfully, 35w is more than ample so I don't see the point of the potential risk. As for kelvin, rule of thumb for me is anything under 6k is usable light, 4300k being the best as that's oem standard. Anything above 6k introduces too much blue and washes out on the road reducing visibility.

Running a 55w ballast and a 6000k bulb is like running a 35 w ballast and 5000k bulbs. I run the 55w and 600k and it matches AZN's 5000k LEDs perfectly. Pure white with no blue at all. Perfect color IMO. I use DDM tunings kits in my low beams and fogs (35w and 4000k yellow) with zero issues for a full year.

So I just got done installing my HID kit and it was a PITA. The hardest part was getting the stock metal clip to fit onto the hid. Eventually had to cut the clip to fit the wires through. Then it wouldnt snap back into the headlight housing. I had to unscrew the screws that held on to the sides of the metal clip and screw them back in after setting the lights in place. After about 2 hours I finally got everything in and connected. And now that I look at it, the driver side bulb is slightly tilting to the right. So crap!! Im thinking of taking it to a shop and have them look it over. Looks like im gonna be spending more than expected. Other than that, light output and quality is great.
