MSRP discounts on 2013 C300 sport sedan

Hi,

I am looking to purchase 2013 C300 4matic sport sedan. Have not decided on the options I want. I looked into edmunds and truecar, and it looks like people easily getting $2-3K off the sticker price. What is the realistic discount from the sticker price I can get? I understand it depends if car is in stock or not, lets say it is not in the lot, or it is on the lot?

Thanks

PS. Switching from Japanese brand, I was always worried about German reliability, how is C300 holding up for long term?

I've been out of the market since buying my 09, so I cannot comment on pricing. But, in the last four years, this car has been outstandingly reliable...essentially just maintenance and go. I see my dealer once a year.

$4K below invoice guaranteed. Make sure they don't recoup by jacking up the finance charge. Edmunds invoice figures for C are wrong. Add a $1000 to it for the right figure. Go through dealership's fleet department.

In DC expect to get 9-10%, go the end of month or on a Sunday and maybe 12% off.

I got a price of $37,700 on a list price of 43,485 from a great salesman at a good dealership.

Did anyone get a better price in the phila area. I am also looking for a 7 yr. warrenty cost at 2000.00 or better.

Thanks guys,....Bernie

If you can, wait until July/August to buy your 2013 C class because in September the dealer gets the 2014 models and they will want to get rid of the 2013's. That's how I got mine and I had an almost 21k discount. Just make sure you go to a big dealer that sell a lot in one year and that hold a big stock.

Good luck!

2013 c300 4matic coming in a few days

Hi Guys,

Just finished up my deal with the dealer today and got the above car with the premium 1 package only, thats all I need. I cost $37,000 plus tax and tags. The car is White, no cost on that color.

I also payed for the service plan up front and that is were my question is directed. My dealer charges about $950.00 for the 10,000-20,000-30,000 service plan, I paid $700.00 for it up front is that about right with others doing the same thing. I figure its a good price for the next three yrs. if the cost of service does not go up, I will have to ask the salesman if the price is locked up. I live in the phila area.

The dealer wanted $3,800 for the extended 7 yr. 100,000 warenty now or later its 15% more. Is this a good price or were can I get MB plan for less with no deductables.

Thanks for the help,......Bernie

The prepaid MB service plan is a good value, not great IMHO. I am considering purchasing the 5 service plan next time. However you need to have them explain the differences between what MB offers and the dealer charges. For instance the MB maintenance only covers required items not the additional recommended items like wiler blades. That is why there is such a disparity between the prices. At my dealer they wanted $400 for svc A and $650 for svc B but the MB maintenance was $769 for both.
