Another HID thread? Seriously? *sigh*
6k kits in general are pretty white, think like fluorescent lights. Retrofit source sells morimoto brand which are more pricey but much better quality (ie color matched bulbs, shock resistant ballasts etc) than brands like ddm. However ddm offers lifetime warranty though I've heard their cs is a nightmare to deal with.

A stock halogen burned out so I took the opportunity to get HID's. Since I didn't want to go more than a couple days without a headlight I went with Kensun 5000k 35w slim kit. It had good reviews and was available with 2 day free shipping (Amazon Prime). I also ordered a generic HID Warning Canceler/Anti-Flicker through Amazon Prime. I have had no issues. I would rate the color at pure white after about 20 second warm up time.

Your right! Although i just did a little more research and 4300k is more for the old xenon versions and 5k or pure white is what current car makers actually use. 6k gives you that little touch of blue that some of us want!! In my opinion 6k is the best and anything higher is just too blue. You can google the kelvin color chart and see for yourself!

Ive just installed a 55w 6000k ddm kit and its great. I figured with 55watts, it would wash out some of the blue from the 6000k but it didnt =(
I would suggest 5000k to keep it looking clean. 6000k seems to "ricer" after looking at it. Im seriously thinking about reordering 5000k bulbs.

Just ordered 6000k 55w kit for my 2013 c300 will have to drill quarter inch hole in plastic lid cover so I can run wires through but hid kit comes with round seal around bulb wires to seal that hole.

Last I checked his shipment was being confiscated or something. I didnt like the halogen bulbs that came with the c300 so I installed the aznoptics hid kid along with led bulbs for the eye brows. And I definitely like the quality.
On my vehicle I installed an HID kit from hidextra.com and it's been on for about a year and I have had no problems with it.

Purchased mine last week got them few days ago. While at work on lunch I went out and pulled the round covers from the headlights and taken hid bulbs with me. I have drilled 3/4 holes on buttom portion of half circle and inserted hid bulbs into it. After work went out and put them in, had to also modify the metal brackets that held stock bulbs just by cutting little Conner to fit braker over hid wires I couldn't get it through back or front of hid wiring everything too big so I cut it and bent over wires and bent back. Worked fine and I installed it securely into the housing. I have turned on lights they are super bright 6000k 55w but about after minute computer trips and shuts them off saying headlights are out left and right. Ballast I got has a built in relay but looks like ill have to wire in a resistor into the ballast to draw more current. Or maybe they will fix them self. I had same issue with led parking lights but issue went away, computer auto corrected

Ok I figured out the issue since most of our cars run by computer BUS so we need resistors to make bulbs use more power to not trigger the computer I placed the resistor and fixed the problem.
