25k Service Experience
purchased car with 15k on odo. Took her in for "A" service at 25k. Also had the brake service. I also asked the dealer to fix the CD player as it was inoperative, and requested they correct the outside temp display since it constantly reads 6 degrees higher than actual temp.
I was skeptical that they would perform any checks, but simply change the oil and send me on my way.
They did perform checks because they replaced the battery due to low voltage. The car was not giving me a noticeable problem, but they did replace it. They also replaced the CD player and all is well. They even rotated the tires as requested. I know because I marked them.
The temp display issue was determined to be "normal" and I was not in the mood to argue. Overall, I'm impressed with my dealer and the first service experience. 430.00 total cost, but that included a loaner 250. Also performed cam solenoid campaign.

Glad they made all the repairs you requested, but $430 for "A" service is very steep. Here in DC the going rate is $299 and it is not uncommon to get a coupon from the dealer for $199. That includes a loaner by the way.
Service B includes a brake fluid flush so you may want to get a home equity loan if you plan on going back to the same dealer. I highly recommend you shop around at other dealers or use an independent MB or German Car specialist.

Here in ATL, the rate for an A is about 250-275 without a coupon. At my dealer, the brake service is additional to an A or B for 155 or so. I think my dealer comes in at about 350 for a B, but that does not include cabin, engine air filters or the brake service.
I agree that an Indy would be cheaper, but while under warranty, my expectation will be that they fix it no questions asked, so I'm paying more.

I think the charge is reasonable for what they did. It's nice to hear there are some good dealers out there. I would stick to them.
