65,000 miles
Major work - New front transfer case
About 3 weeks ago my car starting making a strange buzzing noise from 30-50mph. Like a small plane was flying over it. It seems to go away the more weight I have in the car. 2-3 passengers and you can barely hear it.
I took it to my Mercedes guy and he said it could be my engine mounts. He said they were very low. I hate to spend $500 to have them replaced if that isn’t the issue.
I was going to take it to local dealer but they charge $100 just to look at it.

i dont think so on the power steering
anything below 30 or above 50 and there is no noise. I can turn right or left out of the 30-50 range and i am fine.

Confirmed with local shop that it is the front drivers side wheel bearing. His price for labor seems to be high. What do you guys think?
Part - $80 (sounds right)
Labor - $400 (5 hours of labor)
Said he has to drop the steering collum to get to the bearing? What?
