Sorry I can't find these on EPC. But maybe you can ask dealer to search, they work with EPC every day.

Sry I don't have. They are white not blue like cheap chinese leds. You can see them on newer models like w212 FL, w221 FL, w204 FL...

Kinda like this:

Borrowed from google.

Has anyone else done this mod? (Fit 2012 OEM LED license plate lights on pre-2012)

stosoorok, what do you mean you need small pins and plugs?

Pins for plug:

Plugs:

Actually these original plugs aren't necessary, I used only small pins (not original) and fixed in place with hot glue.

I think you can get these pins from Radioshack, only take your LED lamp with you and show it to salesperson.

I'm a little confused. I'm not sure how the pins and plugs attach to the light assembly. It seems like it just needs a plug with pig tail wiring. Can you please elaborate on the pin and plug assembly to the light. Are both the pins and plugs available from the dealer or from a third party source incase Radio Shack doesn't carry it?

Thanks...

You stick these pins into the LED light socket and fill it with hot glue, thats what I did.

Original pins and plugs must be available at the dealer or you may buy only pins from electronic parts shop like Radioshack I think.

At dealer when they look up OE codes, they can not insert YOUR car VIN, because your car came with regular 5W bulbs. They must insert FL 204 or 212 or 221 vin to get the codes.

Don't get how this is plug and play without any error message? Don't the bulbs work off a different wattage/voltage/ect?? I understand you were able to get power to the new light, but how is it the car doesn't acknowledge the differnt style bulb as being present??? Has anyone else done this successfully?

I tried to replace my '13 c250 license plate bulbs today with no luck. I couldn't get the housing out. I have 2 5730 SMD bulbs (8000k). After getting the trunk clips and cover removed there didn't seem to be a way to remove the housings. There seems to be a tab that I couldn't work my way around.

A couple of questions : 1) Can the bulb / light element inside the housing be replaced with a T10 wedge type bulb. 2) Does anyone know how to get the housing out or replace the bulb in general ?
Here are some pics of what I saw:

Housing with electrical disconnected ( view from inside trunk) :
