Hi
Has anybody tried to install OEM LED license plate lamps? Is it a plug and play job?

So it is possible to pull out that piece marked 908 from 220? Sylvania says is a 2825 bulb. Could just throw one of their silverstar pairs in there and see what happens? But a crisp LED can't really be beat. I had a set of VLEDs in my SRT8 (http://www.cherokeesrt8.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=41035) and they didn't melt anything, but the housing was maybe a half inch bigger if that matters. If you convert our 2825 bulb into an LED type, it's a 194. (http://www.vleds.com/bulb-type/minia...58-1-pair.html). I'd be willing to order up a pair since I didn't have any problems with that brand in my Jeep...just need to know if those two pieces above actually come apart.
(edit: that bulb link above is back ordered, likely another 194 pair that would work)

Heh so I'm not the only one with Mike's flickering LEDs. I hear a lot of great reviews about them and yes, Mike has been very good about warranty. I don't know what I would do if I had to revert back to the normal bulbs! I hope these replacement LEDs work perfectly! I don't know why mine are flickering. Ugh.

I've been through close to 100 of Mike's bulbs, he's been nice enough to replace a few but not nearly enough to touch the amount of money I've spent on them. We need a better, more stable LED for our cars. Whoever figures it out will make a killing.

Here are the ones from amazon that i posted above. Look good at night...except they aren't the can bus error free ones it turns out. So i get a check bulbs error when i start it up. Too lazy to replace em with something else.

yes. just need to take out the 4 screws & a few clips with a panel-popper on the inside part of the decklid. 2 more screws above the license plate holes, and there's a few clips that pop out as well. Don't scratch the paint with the chrome edges though! Once that section is removed, stick your hand between that thin carpet and decklid and feel around for the clips and give them a squeeze to push the bulb housings out of the decklid. The rest is easy peezy!

Ah...may have to wait for someone else to chime in. Anything advertised as CANBUS LED wont (shouldnt lol) trip any errors...I'd imagine that's the same thing as OEM. As long as the resistances are in spec with what the computer is looking for there shouldn't be a problem.

You need small pins and plugs also. I found small pins in my "wires & plugs" box. Then inserted pins and filled with hot glue and then glue shrink tubes. Dealer asks about $10 for pins and plugs.
