Owners Manual Location
I just purchased a pre-owned 2009 C350 and the dealership provided an owners manual for me since it was not in the car. My question, albeit a little farfetched, is where is the manual intended to be stored because it does not seem to want to fit inside the glove compartment.

I thought about that but it seems weird to have it in such an open place, in my previous car it fit nicely in the glovebox because it was made to go there. Its not something I want to see every day, but I certainly want to have it in case I have a problem and need to reference it.

I like that idea...i though about storing it there but the bracket for the first aid kit only has room for the kit. Did you remove the bracket to make room for everything?

Just a thought if you have a smartphone... it helps keep the car uncluttered - plus it is searchable for quick answers on the fly.

In my wife's C350 the whole leather case with all manuals and papers is in the glove box. Fits there without any problems. Can't fit much else there, though...
In my daughter's W203 I keep it in the left side of the trunk. There is a perfect spot with velcro straps in there. Can't fit it in the glove box because it is full of CD changer.

2011 C300 and 2012 C350 both have manual in the glove box. But finding a place in the trunk sounds like a great idea!

My manual is also at netting at left side of the trunk. There is enough space for the manual, first aid kit, front plate bracket and front license plate.

This same topic arose in another thread a year or two ago. It seemed different binders were used for different years. My 09 has a fabric binder and fits into the glove box easily. Some with leather binders appeared to have more trouble making it fit and wound up looking for other places to store the owner's manual packet.
