I Think She's Gone
I am beyond angry right now. I was enjoying a beautiful day off (60 deg, Blue Skies and perfect weather) going for a drive to do some errands. On my way to a nearby town- an old woman (possibly in her late 80's) was traveling in the opposite direction on a divided highway driving an old Saturn. She decided to turn in front of me without yielding or stopping. Luckily, there were numerous witnesses who completed statements and the driver was cited for Failure To Yield To Right-Of-Way. I was the ONLY car on the road traveling in my direction and tried to avoid her. I swerved to the right and thought she slowed down and as I was almost around her- she accelerated quickly. I am an very compassionate person so I am concerned for her well-being but the anger I feel is immense.

sorry to hear that man. My dad's C250 was also totalled recently . He got T-boned by a lady in a Jeep wrangler. But you made it out okay and thats what matters . Thank MBZ for building a safe and strong car . And hey, the 2013's are great cars!

Let's hope that her insurance totals it (and attempts to yank her license). You certainly don't want that car back after it's "repaired".
Glad you are ok. I see you are in Florida and the attacker was an old lady. You gotta be careful down there - you've got gators and blue-hairs to contend with on the roads down there.

Thanks Everyone for supportive words. Went to the Tow yard to get my personal belongings. The frame is definitely bent. I might try to remove my Euroteck Rear Diffuser and my Leather C63 Shift Knob.

The best of luck to you with it. The important thing is that no one was hurt, but it still sucks. Regardless of if you can get an identical replacement or not it's a lot of heartache.
If its not repairable, have you thought about if you are staying in the MB family?
Side note - I'm in Miami right now for UMF, and I have seen some very... Special driving down here. It's easy to see how things like this could happen :-(

I know that feeling of anger really well. I had an old S class that my wife drove, and when she was leaving work a drunk lady hit her going 60 MPH. Not only was the lady drunk, but the police opened her purse and pulled out exactly (not exaggerating) 11 pill bottles. Likely all of them aren't ones that impair you, but she had a few that were, like Hydrocodone.
In my case, I had spent a lot of money restoring the car. I was really glad that my wife was OK (she had to do physical therapy for back problems) and she didn't have any long term issues. We got a lawyer and even though it took 3 years, we did get all of the money back. I replaced her car with a brand new C300, which is how I ended up on these forums I definitely miss that car sometimes, but the replacement car (this new C class) has been an amazing car, I love it
My advice is don't get angry about things you have no control over. You will only cause yourself stress and that's the last thing you need. You can control what happens with the insurance. If it makes sense, get a lawyer... Insurance companies will never have your best interest in mind. If they try to repair the car, you can argue about how it will never be the same. W204 and pretty much any modern car (since the 80s in MB's case) use unibody construction. There is no "frame", but fixing a unibody is extremely expensive. If it's not done properly, it might not crumple the way it's intended which is why it can be a safety hazard (which is what you can argue if they try to repair instead of total it)
Good luck!

I found a CPO '12 C250 Coupe with all the options for an extremely good price. And I like the bonus of the 100K warranty.
I just looked at the pics again and noticed the damage to the front and the rear door. Someone was looking over me because there was no hit to the driver's side door.

Holy crap that sucks. Obviously glad you're ok, but yeah... I'd be beyond pissed.
