Exclamation DRL LED FOG CONVERSION in SO CAL for w204

Hi I need a recommended installer or forum member in LA/OC/IE area of so Cal (doesn't matter where, I will drive) to install the LED DRLs on my 2008 w204.

I have the cornering fogs currently and have already bought all the parts required that were listed in the other big thread (https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...g-issue-2.html), and hopefully can get them set up and wired as close to OEM function as possible, except I want to run at MAX bright both day and at night (no night dim)

I could of course take it to the dealer, but they quoted me at $1500 for installation (insanity).

I could try to DIY, but I dont have the garage or time right now to handle it.

Looking for somebody who has done this with success that wants to do a side job for some cash or can refer me to a local installer that has installed it and has confidence that they won't hack up my car and has a decent price.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can try DTM Autobody in El Monte, Benzworks in Huntington Beach, Promax Motorsport in Alhambra, Supreme Power in Placentia, Bavarian Exclusive in Brea, Evasive Motorsports in Santa Fe Springs, etc if you want to go the non-dealer route.

ah Ok, so you took it to a body shop who then took it to the dealer for coding?

total from dealer was $190, but how much was total from body shop?

Don't know the tech names as I usually just deal with the owners/managers.

DTM Autobody in El Monte = Manny or David
Benzworks in Huntington Beach = Serge or Jon
Promax Motorsport in Alhambra = Anthony
Supreme Power in Placentia = Eric
Bavarian Exclusive in Brea = Brad or Bobby
Evasive Motorsports in Santa Fe Springs = Randy or Mike or Tony

body shop just did painting I had vandelism on my car someone tried to steal it so that work they did was insurance paid for but I also had them paint my front bumper and install lights plus my deductible of $250 my bottom line out the door was $867 between dealer (who owns the body shop)that did the LED wiring and body shop for all the work plus my deductible and front bumper respray

reason it was $190 was insurance already paid to take the bumper off and reinstall so putting the LED was a 10 min job so they didnt even charge me for the that by the time dealer got it it was already in the bumper they just had to do the wiring

Do you happen to have the part no's ? I've heard although unconfirmed that it requires a new switch and a new SAM...

Ditto rb23lb! I wouldn't mind being on this list. I'm also in SoCal.

I've had some wiring done at California Tint in Rosemead for my Smart Car. Tech there was very knowledgeable. I'm considering taking it to them.
