My car that just bought 14 days ago today was in a bad accident. I am pretty banged up to say the least. I am posting some pics to you guys for some thoughts on damage. I am thinking the may have to write her off. 2008 C230 Sport/Premium packages.

That looks like a high hit - I suppose if it stayed away from the suspension it might be repairable. Being a 2008 though - it might be low enough in blue book value that it might be done in.

Did it get the A pillar/anything with the hinges on the door? Did any airbags blow? What about the windshield - any cracks (from impact or stress).

 

Pretty much what you see is the damage. Didnt hit windshield but driver airbag blew. A pillar is okay. I wonder about that teunk damage also. Thoughts?

 

What happened was I was driving straight. Girl in an mdx just turned left and cut me off. No time to even put on brakes... im so angry and that car will never be the same.

 

Holy ..... Front looks bad. The trunk isnt that bad. Just paint . Atleast you're okay.

 

Actually the paint is way worse than it looks.... not my best paint job.

Front suspension definitely got damaged. It will never be the same after a repair, so write her off if possible.

 

So sorry to here about our accident. Mine was totalled on the 15th.

 

Wow.looks the same.. what year car did you have? What was total damage?

 

2008. Estimated damage was $22,000. Total Loss is usually assessed if the cost of repair is more than 50% Current Market Value/Replacement Cost of vehicle. Current market was around $21K for a comparatively optioned car.

Damages totalled $15,500 - repaired.

Drives the same still. Some of front suspension replaced.

 

Wow...thats 15 grand? Hardly much damage...

 

OP - your 08 is almost certainly totaled. Sucks to hear about that but as others have said, you're still here to tell the story! What were your injuries?

 

For a reference - this was over $4,000.



If you get into suspension or wheels, it gets very expensive very fast.

 

Look on the bright side, the color matched trunk looks great!

 

Hard to tell the extent of internal damage from thie pics, but I would guess it's going to be totalled.

Thank you. I finally found that car and it was perfect... THese are hard to find where I am from and I doubt I will find another. I am very worried they will attempt to fix it and it will never be he same and pretty worthless if I ever sold it...
