The tail lights were completely different on the pre-facelift card. I'm not sure it would look right on the new tail lights.

I asked him that question, but he painted his tailights though.

A suggestion would be to tape up the inner part of the lights, then vinyl over the whole tailight, smooth it out then cut the unneeded areas out (i.e. the taped area). Leaves you with the borders or whatever that you didn't cut out.

Am not sure about this but at least it's something to think about. Or you could just go to a sticker shop and have them vinyl wrap your lights.

Why dont you want to paint it? I got a spray can from auto zone for smokin taillights taped up my tails and sprayed about 4 times and finished it off with clear coat n sanded down with the softest sand paper to make it nice n shiny,

I purchased the chrome taillight trim on ebay and had it painted while my car was in for some recent body work...

fitment wasnt as flush as normandie's, but still looks good, but YMMV

On my pre-facelift car- I was going to buy the trims and have them painted black. I have seen both on cars and actually prefer the look of the trim.
I'm not planning on doing this with the new lights. The Brabus comparison shows the difference.
