You have to ship your ecu for 2013 c300 ecu tune.
Spending the last 2 days emailing back and forth ecu tuning companies (4). They all say that "new ECU's cannot be flashed through the OBD2 port like the rest of the MB cars." ( word for word from 1 company) I am thinking about going to the closest location for a highly respectable company which is in Boston. 5 hour drive one way.

I would prefer someplace local like a oe tuning dealer 20 minutes away from my house but nope got to bench tune the ecu

i got nothing.Lol i have too much but most popular companies are oe tuning - 8 whp and eurocharged - 28 whp.

There is NO company that can tune our cars through the OBD port. It's locked period. I suggest you make that trip and at least you can have it done the same day while you are there to watch them. Otherwise get a tuning box (btw, Kleeman is also a tuning box) which seems to be the direction we are headed with the way manufacturers are programming their ECU's.

I can't answer the first part but the advantage so to speak is that a box is easily removed and isn't as integrated as a flash tune, however that's also a disadvantage, it's not that integrated so you're not getting a real tune.
Tuning boxes are an evolved form of piggybacks, using microprocessors they intercept and modify signals sent to various parts of the engine in order to obtain power. Some companies multiple points in the engine while others less.

Factory ordered 2012 MB C350 w/Dynamic Handling Package
For 276: True (a the time of this writing)
For 272: False (look at OE tuning)
I also looked into Kleeman, and the "dealers" simply ship your ECU to Kleeman's US headquarters in CO.
I've been patiently waiting for OE Tuning myself to come out with a compatible hand held tuner.
