Hi, I have a c250 rear wheel drive. I am looking for rims, I would like to make them flush with the car without any modifications. Anyone know what the maximum size would be I can put on? I want a flush look.
I am being told by some 20s will fit,
Others are saying 20s will not and I will have to go with 19s. Mercedes keep suggesting not to make mods.
This link is for the rims I am looking at. My car is white with the carbon black top.

Thank you in advance for your help.

You don't plan on doing any suspension mods? 20" WHEELS will look ridiculous without slamming her down properly tucked. Just stick with 19" WHEELS if you're going with stock ride height.

Hi, thank you for the response. No I do not plan on doing any mods. The car is under warranty, not trying to void anything. Do you think the 19s will look off with out mods? Will there be major gaps?

I'm in the same boat. No planned suspension mods...so I opted to go with 18x8.5 fronts and 18.9.5 rears using stock rubber. 225/255

But yeah, if you're not doing any suspension mods, stick with 18s or at most 19s. Do you know what offsets and widths you're going for?

IMO, take some time and do some research rather than simply trust a tire shop guy who might not be as much interested in proper fitment that looks good as opposed to something that simply physically clears suspension/brake components. Ask them to be upfront with the wheel specs and check back with the forums. There are wheels that will fit, but could be really sunken in or have smaller widths than you could really go with. Same with tire sizes.

I'm in the process of buying wheels also. In this past few weeks I have spoken to wheel sellers and I think they just click on the computers and try to sell you rims that will "technically fit" at all cost.
I think they all use the same car configuration software. I don't understand why they will say 19 x 9.5 et 40/45 at the Rear will work for the w204 standard c-Class without poking or looking stanced.
This forum too can be a tad confusing but it's wealth of knowledge beats most wheel sellers by miles.

In short, go for as high ET.s as possible, the 204 and newer MB models require way higher ET dimensions than before and a lot of wheel detailers still thinks that ET35 is the universal fit for all mercs.
IMO it looks a lot better with the wheel 5mm too far in than the same wheel poking out 5mm.s

Viper, I was speaking to one wheel dealer and I was insisting on 50+ ET for the rear. He told me that 5mm is negligible insisting that 45mm is a better fit. He even said I should measure 5mm on a ruler and extrapolate from that. I just hung up on him.

I am sure he was pushing the ET45 due to them being a lot more common than the higher ET50,
5mm may not sound like much but when cutting it close with ET50, using ET45 might push you over the edge causing rubbing.
EDIT: check this out: http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator it can be very helpful, as long as you know the stock dimensions you can easily calculate how much the new wheels will protrude.
