Mercedes C63 AMG
"ON" knob in center console broken. HELP
Hello everyone. Im sure some of you could have already had this problem. I purchased this car AS-IS and the "ON" knob will not go in the console. I thought I would be able to pop it back in but it wont go back in. I called mercedes and asked for a new knob but htey said I must buy the whoel console for $1400. Does anyone know what my options are? any help would be greatly appreciated! I attached pictures of what the problem is

Yeah I got the car like that so im guessing that it could be broken. I know theres an easy way of fixing it. Im sure someone else on this forums has had this problem

My dad replaced the command center when his (now mine) broke. I don't think there is this "simple fix" you are talking about. But that $500 slightly used command center makeinu found might be a good alternative.

well this radio im looking at from ebay is from america. I live in canada and my C class is canadian so do you think it would work if i just install it?

I would check with your dealer to make sure, but I believe that the Canadian C class and the American C class share the same command center. I am about 95% sure that it would work.

This car is still covered under the 4yr/80km warranty. Do you think mercedes would fix this for me?

Hintowan, it wouldn't hurt to ask the dealer if its covered before purchasing any parts for DIY fix (assuming it broke after you purchased).

He may have purchased from a non-mb dealership, where it was as is meaning they wont be able to help you on any post-purchase found defects. The warranty comes from mb so he could take it in for a fix, if covered under policy.
