brake job

So I need to replace my pads and rotors for my 08 c300 sport. Was going to go with StopTech Rotors for the front & rear and don't know what pads? Right now I have OEM rotors (cracking and old) and duralast gold brake pads (to much fade and dust). They came with a lifetime warranty but they are very dusty and have a LOT of brake fade so they've got to go. Are the stoptech rotors any good and what pads do most of y'all run? For the front stoptech rotors do I buy a left and right or just buy two?

It all depends on what you're after. Many on here like the Akebono Euros. Apparently just as good, if not better, than stock, with no dust.
I personally run EBC Yellows, but stopping power is my top criteria, at the expense of dust.
Regarding the rotors, just get two. There is no left and right...

Definitely a fan of Akebono EUR pads. No dust and performance indistinguishable from OE. Have them running on the C and E, both doing very well.

What's the disadvantage, if any, of purchasing the stock OEm pads?

Primarily dust, and secondarily, price. There is some evidence that some newer MB pads are less dust-producing than in the past, but Akebono EUR are a sure thing.

These cars have pad wear sensors too. Usually one per axle. Where would you get those at?

The Akebonos come with new sensors too . I've ran them on my old E39 and now on the W204. Great if you're not a fan of brake dust.

What are your priorities? Lowest cost? Lowest dust? Stopping power?

Go with the Akebonos and call it a day, I say. Stock rotors are fine as well IMO.
