What did you do the side markers with? Plastidip? does the light still shine through? I'm trying to decide between the plastidip, or just order the clear side markers off ebay, but the clear markers have a lot of black/grey/chrome to them...

Yes i did it with White plastidip and glossifier both available in walmart Best part is the light is perfectly visible and it can shine through no problem but when its off you cant see anything. It also gives the light an even orange glow which is spread out the marker rather than just in the middle. I will get some pics up of it soon.

Awesome, I think I'll try that this weekend. Never heard of glossifier before. I just hope our crappy Walmarts carry both products.

Good call on the gloss lip. I'm still personally still debating about the plastidipping the grill.

yea vinyl wrapped lip looks much better than just plastidipped. I wanted to change the grill all together but i bought 2 after market c63 style grills and returned because they had a gap in the lower part. so till i find a good one which fits correctly I am just going to go with plastidip and personally it looks quite good. You can try it and always remove it

As I thought Walmart didn't have Plastidip and the guy had a blank look on his face when I asked about it. Nobody there even heard of it before. Not paint dept, not auto dept. Oh well, I found a local shop that says they sell it so I'm heading there now.

I forgot to mention I'm in CAN up near T.O. so our Walmart/Target/Lowes product selection is garbage compared to you guys down south. I went to a local customizing shop that advertised on kijiji (CDN craigslist) of all places. They only had one can left, but he said a new shipment is due to arrive either tomorrow or Sat, so he'll text me when it arrives. I put a can of white and clear on hold. $12/can.

The guy seems cool, and the prices seem reasonable, so I might even end up getting them to wrap my roof or do the clear bra. I was originally going to order a pre-cut set and apply it myself.

Are you going to debadge it when you put the quad exhaust on? It may "give it away" if you have dual exhaust but it still says C250 on the back.

The Walmarts here don't carry it, but Home Depot actually has a wide range of colors.

That looks good. The guy never called me back so either his order didn't come in, or he forgot about me. Almost makes me wanna just go to home depot and pay double the price and call it a day.

On another note, how are your plastidipped rims doing? I read in another plastidip thread that it's harder to wash and it scuffs easily. I am guessing that the plastidipped parts will need to be peeled and redone every so often? If so, you should dip them in white next time

Actually plastidip parts are holding up pretty well, i had it on my bmw 7 series for 2 years and all i did was wash them without using any brushes but only a microfiber. They can get scuffed by sharp objects but 90% of the time you wont have any rips or anything of sort you will have a white line which you can wash off. If you put enough coats its very durable.

I dont know how white would look? I might have to try it out and see.
