Hi i have a mercedes c300 2008 and my head unit wont power on neither will the pop out screen, i have checked fuses #11 and #26 but they seem to be fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Do you have a multimeter? You may need to pull the head unit out and test wires for power.

Yes i will try that.. Do you know if there is a fuse inside the unit?

I am unsure whether there is a fuse in the head unit or not, sorry.

I was able to find another point of reference for the problem you are having. The article lists that it is for a C300 4Matic but no year is given. Worth a try:

I tried pulling out the headunit but the screen is in the way of the dissasemble, i think the screen needs to be in the open position in order to take out the comand unit.
Also i had a ipod cable in my glove box that got ripped out by accident, a couple days after that happend my comand would not power on. Do you think this might be the problem?

remove the airvent panel and then you can remove the screws and take out the COMAND unit, no need to take out the screen.
both the screen and comand unit are easy to take out btw

Help! Problems with W204 comand unit
I am currently having some serious problems with my command, i have checked all the fuses. I also have checked if power is going to the unit all is good, but it doesnt turn on. I took my w204 to a certified MB repair shop and they charged me $98 to tell me to change my comand unit. So i did that and bought a functional used unit, i then swapped it in and yet it doesnt turn on!
Please help!!! ��

if one of the fiber optics is broken the comand unit will not start
star diagnose will tell the technician its not connected to the car so yea their first idea will be to replace the unit

there are fiber optic circuits and if they are not closed (working) the comand system will refuse to give any sign of life, if that is the problem its a job for the dealer.
your ipod cable shouldn't be able to do much harm.
