Anything in particular to look out for when buying Used 2012 C250?

Going to look at a 2012 C250 w 19k this weekend, finally found one nicely equipped & has the xenon lights...

I'm not familiar with Mercedes, more a BMW guy, so anything in particular i should look out for with this car when checking it out?

Its pretty much brand new 19k and still in warranty so i'm not too worried but any input would be helpful, thanks

Since its still under warranty, most issues to be found post-purchase will be fixed hassle-free (assuming its something fixable). What i would listen for is an irking cracking noise from the rear parcel shelf, sometimes comes with vibration (according to few members here), and may also have creaking noise at sharp turning. It's perfectly normal, at least the cracking and the creaking, but it becomes pretty annoying after a while knowing that it's there. Should check it out before you drive off so that you could address your concern, and ask if the dealership (or anyone you're buying the vehicle from) may at least try to fix the noise.

FYI I tried fixing the cracking noise myself, also brought it into the dealership, but both times failed to completely remove it.

Just make sure you know where the Sport button is. You might do some comparisons coming out of LOW speed corners (as in, turning onto a different street, right angles) between Economy (default) and Sport.

My 2013 has been solid so far.

Listen for rattling timing chain on cold start up that shuts up as the oil pressure rises ~ do this for the rest of the vehicles life. Should be too low in the mileage for this. It's otherwise a solid package.

I thought it was determined that the timing chain on the M271 EVO was improved over the first gen M271s? Someone looked up the part and it's different from the older versions. Not 100% proven yet?

Look it over really well cosmetically. I was under the impression dents and scratches were taken care of but when I got the car home I noticed a few scratches in the rear bumper and a nasty scratch in the windshield that could only be seen from the passenger seat. Had to argue with the dealer but they finally fixed everything.
