Gear oil help please

Hello everyone, I have been looking around this site for a while and picked up much useful information. I am confused when it comes to what gear oil is ok to use in the differentials of a 2009 c300 4matic sport. Dealer would like to sell me their oil but the parts person I talked to by phone, come up with different weights and numbers, and did not seem sure. Owners manual says hypoid 85w 90. Only local oil I can find of that weight is a conventional oil, did find some liqui moly full syn 75w 90. Would one or either be safe to use and would they need the limited slip additive? I did spend quite some time searching but still not clear on this. I know the MB oil would be the best but not close to a dealer. Not trying to start a heated topic just interested in getting options and direction from what has worked for others. Thanks
Kevin

Here are are the MB Specs (on the last post):- https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ic-owners.html

Says diff oil should meet sheet 235.7 spec.

Here is the MB sheet : http://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevoli...7&suchbegriff=

MB, Fuchs or Mobilube.

Thank you for replying. I did not see the post that had the Mobile or Fuchs links. I do use the Fuchs transmission oil. I talked to a couple MB parts men, one give me the number 235.7 and then later told it should use 235.61 but they did not have the 235.61 ( vin WDDGF81X39F251117). Would it be good to use the limited slip additive?
Thanks again.

Glyn would be the man to answer about the additive. I would not . Best to use MB expertise & use the oil specified.

The 235.61 is for AMG vehicles . http://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevoli...1&suchbegriff=

The 235.7 for yours http://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevoli...7&suchbegriff=
