Install and then Plasti-Dip or Plasti-Dip and then install?

Got a OEM spoiler for my C300 and I want to cover it in Plasti-Dip. My question is, should I cover it in Plasti-Dip and then do the installation or install it first and then apply the Plasti-Dip. What's the better course of action?

Id plastidip it first then install. but if you are sure you want it a different color why not use paint instead of plastidip? IMO the plastidip is great to try out a change but not for long term use, if you are going a different color its a lot easier to paint it off the car.

Like on my grille I plastidiped it black on the car to see if I liked the color then a couple days later I removed the grille (10 min job) and properly prepped and painted it satin black

I would leave it white. I believe there's a point when you can have too much black, even with the "stormtrooper" look.

Platic dip it first so you wont get any extra plastic dip on the car when you spray.

I like the rogue look. I am still too young to be stiff.

If the OEM spoiler is bolted on, then plastidip should be fine. If you're using adhesive, then tape it on first, cover the surrounding area with newspaper and tape, then plastidip the spoiler.

Dipyourcar has some good plastidip videos on youtube with a guy named Fonzie. You can buy glossifier plastidip on their site that basically makes any plastidip color glossy instead of matte.
