C250 CDI Quad Exhaust by CKS Performance
Evening all,
Just thought I would share my experience/results from todays (very rainy) trip to CKS Performance in Watford. I have previously ordered the boot spoiler they offer and thought I would give them a go.
I had the C63 Quad Exhaust and Diffuser Package fitted, took about 4 hours to complete. The guys were very helpful and informative. I arrived around 9:30 and the car was taken straight into the workshop to begin the work.
I was able to view and select from a range of tips, from the original oval C63 look to the new style C63 tips and many other options. I was also asked about how I would like the car to sound, loud, deep, raspy or quiet. I opted for a quiet option.

Overall, very impressed with the quality of the job and the service provided. I was in two minds after reading some of the other reviews on the forums but I can honestly say these guys are the real deal.

The whole package including the C63 diffuser and fitting was around £950 which isn't too bad when considering the quality of the components and professional installation. Exhausts are custom made and sound perfect. There were options to make it as loud or as quiet as I wanted on the day.

Mine was joined to the original system at the rear of the car to keep it relatively quiet.

All in all, an expensive 15 bhp, there will be other (cheaper) ways to get more power or loose some of the weight to increase performance.

I would either go to CKS for the Exhaust or if not local get the parts delivered (tips and boxes etc) and have it fitted. I have used Janspeed before as well for custom exhaust work with very good results.

I too read the other posts but wanted to get my own opinion. Also noticed that most of them were from back in 2008/2009. All the guys were very welcoming and happy to talk over the work and options.

Confused
Newbie here
Hi there, new to the "car world" with my 2012 C 250, Im 56 and have driven trucks/SUV's most my life. I have been in search of increasing performance and keeping it on the subtle side. You spent $1300 on a new exhaust and picked up 5-7 bhp. That doesn't seem like much to this ex-truck owner???? Or is the idea to pick up a little with each addition to the car?
Put another way, what was your goal in adding the new exhaust? Torque increase? Horsepower?
The only modification I have ever done to ANY vehicle Ive owned is K&N intake and Flowmaster muffler. I am NEW but looking forward to tweaking all I can get from this C 250

MBWorld Fanatic!
It's an old post but I think the OP was going for looks mostly.
The options for the C250 are rather limited. I've seen mention the ECU can get flashed but I haven't seen anything offered other than those plug in boxes that trick the ECU with tweaked sensor data. It takes an ECU flash to really gain much from any bolt on upgrades. In theory the car should be able to hit C350 performance with some tuning.
With this car one of the best upgrades is to get a TCU flash or have a few parameters in the car recoded to adjust the torque limiter and improve throttle response.
