Ill answer his question for you "Generic." Because it is his car. He has achieved the desired look he so sought after. Because he doesn't want to be "generic" and look like every other W204 out there and it makes HIM happy. He doesn't do it for your approval nor anyone else. Surely you are smart enough to expect the same answer from him and there is no need to ask a question you already know the answer to.

Have you not read above? The reason why he posted here was to get opinions and other comments about his car. So your claim of "your approval nor anyone else's" is invalid. Heck, anyone that posts pictures of their car on here want some sort of a written opinion.

hello w204_generic i dont take anything on the forums seriously its just a fun read for me
but yeah i know my car is very unpractical and the looks might not be for everyone. however with my car being this way ive had met alot of new people and grown alot of new friendships and that right there makes me happy. its the car scene and its a hobby of mine that i enjoy

This thread really cracks me up just looking through it. Yes, there are some mods people have done I don't like on their cars. I wouldn't for a second even make a point of telling anyone that their mods are wrong or that they shouldn't have done something (unless I felt it made the car unsafe...).
Some of you act like having a C300 puts you into some elitist secret handshake club where you are handed instructions to make sure your car looks the same as it did when you drove it off the lot. Lets be real here the C300 is the entry model for Mercedes and offers a great deal of opportunity to spruce up the car and modify it to an individuals liking.
Stop trying to defeat the purpose of the forum community to share and express new ideas.

+1 ^. I'm in total agreement. I can't stand it when those people respond to a post of a new grill or unique mod with the cliché, "IMO, that (insert mod) takes away from the classy look of a Mercedes. You should've stuck with the stock (insert bland/boring OEM item)."
