2008 C300
Check engine oil light message
I keep getting a message to 'check engine oil at next fill up' while I am driving down the road sometimes lately. I have checked the oil level and everything is fine (close to full level). Last oil change was 4K miles ago. Is there something I am missing about turning this message off so that it does not return? This is the first time I have seen this and the car has close to 70K on it now. 2008 C300

If it's close to full & not low or overfull you should not get a message. Seems you require a new level sensor.

Yup. Most likely a faulty oil level sensor. We had ours replaced under warranty for the same reason.
