Flex Fuel in a 4Matic?
2010 c300 sport 4MAtic. i have a yellow gas cap and on the gas cap door it states premium fuel or E85.
I thought e85 was not allowed in 4Matics?
Also, i was never informed by the dealer that this car was Flex fuel, neither it says so in the car's registration or carfax report. How do I verify?

Would it falsely state this on the gas cap door and have a yellow gas cap, and be incorrect? The mechanic at the dealer stated today that Yes, I should be able to fill up with E85 if i wanted to, even though it is a 4Matic. Thoughts anybody?

Stay away from E85. Even if your car is "approved" for it, the increased fuel usage (ethanol is less energy dense than gasoline) will offset the cheaper price. More worrisome, the potential high water content of ethanol will lead to accelerated internal corrosion. Also, the "green" aspect of ethanol is questionable.

Being able to use E85. I have owned three W204's '08 '11 and '13 and only the '08 could use E85. There was a very long thread a while ago on E85 and if I remember correctly the reason was lack of availability and higher cost.
