c300 brake pads

I have a c300 sport 6spd. Standard rotors. Should I buy OEM brake pads or aftermarket's. Suggestions?

Jcwhitney says they don't fit my car. Where else can I buy them if they really do fit. What about ebc or hawk brand pads?

Check Akebono's web site. Akebono EUR 1340 and 1341 fit my 2009 C300 6 speed. Don't know what changed for the brakes in the one year difference between our cars. They are sold on Amazon, which also has compatibility information.....outstanding pads.

perfect, thanks sportstick. i found them on amazon but currently out of stock. i dont need them right away but just doing some research.

did you stay with the stock rotors (undrilled/unslotted)? would you suggest any alternatives to stock ones?

Haven't found any improvement over stock rotors, although my front rotors are drilled. Pads were another story....great performance, quiet, and no dust.

I have used many different brands of pads over the years, and will say the Akebonos are worth the extra money.

I ordered the EBC brake pads from this place for my C63 they are quiet, and no dust, performance wise they seem to be fine too!

Pad recommendations are useless unless you provide the criteria that's important to you: stopping power, dust levels, cost, longevity, etc.
I recently switched from EBC Yellows (best stopping power, but HIGH dust) to Porterfield R4S pads. I like them so far. A little less aggressive compared to the Yellows. No feedback on dust levels yet since it's been rainy so the car hasn't been washed in a while.

Sounds like Akebono are your best bet. Stick with stock rotors IMO, but some people have switched to Centric and have had no complaints.
