Help

Looking at a 2009 C300 with 35k miles. CarFax shows the below repair done at a dealer at about 25k miles.

Transmission removed to complete repair
Battery replaced
Battery/charging system checked
Flywheel/flexplate replaced
Engine removed to complete repair
Engine checked
Alignment performed
Two tires mounted and balanced
Four wheel alignment performed

I am obviously concerned about the need to remove the transmission and the engine(!).

Why would a flywheel need to be replaced at 25k miles?

Should I avoid this car? It had just come off-lease before this repair, which was done at the dealer.

Input appreciated.

The flexplate probably developed a crack. There is no real flywheel. Just a flexplate, ring gear & TC. If this repair was properly carried out there is no reason to be worried about this car.
