Changing the Stock H5W Parking Lamp to AZN Optic 5000K LED
Hi Everyone,
I have a 2013 C300 with the FL Headlamp Housing. (One without the Projector as shown in my avatar) Is there a special tool or technical method needed to remove the bulb from the housing?
I tried "pulling it out" as the manual instructed me to do so but it's incredibly hard to pull out. I wanted to finish up the HID light upgrade by adding AZN's 194 Wedge 5000K Lights to my car to complement the HID look, but I can't get the damn stock bulbs out of the housing for the life of me lol.
I'm scared if I use too much force the bulb or do it the wrong way, it may either break, the wiring may get screwed up or get pulled out of the socket, or the bulb itself may shatter in the housing. Any tips or ideas on how to remove it? I tried using pliers which also does not work. It's just too tight!
Thanks!

Ok so I actually managed to put them in. My god was it a pain to remove them. Never thought changing a wedge light would be this difficult my god. The passenger side wasn't too bad I just pulled it out but the driver side holy f*ck. never thought it would be this insane. The biggest issue is there are so many obstacles in the way of the driver side headlamp covers, you have the Brake Lines, the ESP and the damn washer fluid right in the way effectively making it that much difficult.
Also the hardest thing to remove is the damn high beam light on the driver side. Putting it back was such a *****. Took me over an hour lol and as I'm writing this, I'm sitting on the couch in back pain because of the bending. Anyway thats it I'm done. I'll post some pics of the new HIDs and the LED parking lamps when i get the chance lol.
Next time these Germans better out the Windshield fluid tank elsewhere because this is ridiculous lol. Changing a light bulb should never take 2 hours...

I have the same issue. I'm trying to change my parking lights on my 13 c300. I'm scared to break or rip anything. Did you use any tool or anything ?...

I recently swapped out my low beams and also my parking lights and can attest to the fact that those parking lights are on another level of difficult to remove. For the parking light on the passenger side it is much easier to grab a pair of needle nose pliers and remove the bulb from the base making sure not to squeeze too hard or else you risk breaking it off. It will take some force. I managed to get the driver side parking light out by tugging at the wires that connect to the bulb (not exactly recommended but couldn't get my hands any closer to the bulb). Also remember that when placing the LEDs in there to not push them in all the way or else it will greatly shorten the life of the LEDs.

I'd like to run those 5000k parking lamp bulbs also but getting to them is a PITA! I put in some 5000k Philips halogen bulbs and they match my LED DRL's nicely but the yellow parking lamps really need to go. I'm wondering if I run no bulbs in there till I get my LED's will it throw any bulb alarms like a burned out low beam will? The parking lamps seem to be on all the time even when I'm driving. Is this normal? Seems like they should come on when the car is in park. Not stay on when I'm driving. Thanks

Success! I got those little yellow buggers out of there and it did throw me some codes. Passenger side fairly easy with a pair of mini needlenose. The drivers side I had to remove a washer fluid bracket and was just able to work my way in with regular needlenose. Gonna check your website for some 5000k LED wedges. I don't need super bright. High beams can stay stock as they rarely get used but at least I see how to access them on the drivers side.
Looks these are what the Benzo needs right here. http://www.aznoptics.com/index.php?m...products_id=95

Order placed. Thanks AZN! Now my 2014 is actually going to look like a 21st century car at night! Sure wish I had that Corinthian Leather tho. mmmm. My mom had a '77 Charger which is the same as the Cordoba. A mechanical nightmare of a car but oh those seats hahaha

Gonna pick these up tomorrow from pep boys. https://www.pepboys.com/product/details/1085554/00819 Only 15 bucks. 50000 hours rated life so they'll last forever. The ones from AZN will likely be brighter but I just want a pure white light. Not to worried if it's a bright lite or not. I'll try em both and see which suits my tastes. My next car will have HID w/the active curve tech that's for sure. My last two bimmers had it so I got used to having that headlight setup. I got such a good deal on the benz tho that halogens were not a deal breaker for me. It's kinda weird that my motor still has a dipstick tho. Even my '08 335i would tell me my oil level from the inside of the car. I think the w205's have a 21st century engine in them now but I could be wrong. Anyways good luck to all those trying to swap out their yellow parking lamps and I might post up on how both these mini bulbs look once they are installed. Pics too if they show the lights clearly. The ones I take really don't look good due to all the brightness fuzzing up the clarity of a night shot. As you can see I'm no photo wiz.

Those will probably throw errors as they are not identified as canbus designed LEDs. Also uses older 5050 smd chip.
