Ok so I got my lights today what a pain to align with the bumper and hood. I got past that then it came time for the night drive. I was so disappointed in these it wasn't even funny. Turns out one of the bulbs was not in right. bam little bit better but still horrible they were aimed so low it was pointless to drive with these. so i adjusted the knob and it was slighty better. Then I relized durp I should measure and park my TSX and tape the garage door and match its cut off( PS Acura has some of the best projectors I have ever had). So after that I matched it as good as it was gonna get and BAM like OEM would have been. Now im going to just drive it for a bit and swap bulbs to a lower kelvin because I hate 6k but it was 50 bucks for the kit added onto the depo lights and I didn't have to drill the hole in the covers.

So can someone confirm which headlights are the ones being talked about in this thread?

I found these being sold by "fishcake"
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-2012-2014-MERCEDES-BENZ-W204-C-CLASS-C63-AMG-STYLE-PROJECTOR-LED-HEADLIGHT/171368400568?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D23930%26meid%3D7940089661397244530%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D10200%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D271531586587&rt=nc
Do they come with HID pre-installed?

The ones I posted are from Fishcakes you have to message him to get them pre installed with HIDS.

This might have been addressed previously but does anyone have comments about the durability and light output of Fishcakes HIDs? I really want to replace my 2012 halogens but still on the fence. Thanks for your inputs.

Does someone have Fishcakes contact info?

You can find his DEPO headlights on ebay and send a msg from there. There are 2 type of headlights that are available (both with projectors) halogen and led.

My understanding is that if you have halogens, like me, you cannot put in HID headlights which is why the DEPO headlights come in both halogen and led. So, you can use a 9005 (non led) bulb in a projector housing on the non HID headlight.

I asked fishcakes about the halogen unit via an ebay email. Here is his response :

" I am confirming with you that the listing #121363110238 is set to have a Halogen Output for its Low/High Beam projector. You are correct in your observation that there is no HID component included within this listing.

The headlight set is plug and play for W204 Chassis with Factory Halogen settings, however one of the main differences between the OEM and DEPO brand is the housing type. From my understanding, OEM uses H7 housing, however, DEPO brand uses 9005 sized bulbs for its Low/High Beam projector.

As long as you are able to find 9005 sized Halogen Bulbs, there should be no issues in changing out the bulbs for the brands you'd like to install as the inner connector for the halogen bulb is 9005 so that the inner Low Beam wires connect to the main headlight connector for you to plug and play."

I can't speak on durability as I've only had them in for a month but the output is great.

You can use the Xenon headlamps from fishcake with your stock halogen connectors. In fact, they only work if your W204 comes with halogen from the factory. This is my setup and it's 100% plug and play.

BarackODrama, thanks for clarifying. The lightbulb came on after reading your post and then reading the ebay ad:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-2012-2014-MERCEDES-BENZ-W204-C-CLASS-C63-AMG-STYLE-PROJECTOR-LED-HEADLIGHT-/171368400568?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2013%7CMake%3AMercedes-Benz%7CModel%3AC250&hash=item27e65a46b8&vxp=mtr
I'll be ordering these and a new grill next month. I'll have someone familiar do the install. I don't want to bother with adjustments which Odus mentioned he had to do in his post.

I would say if your not comfortable with tools or have never messed with panels don't do it yourself. This is not my first rodeo and it still had a few hiccups here and there. I think the quality is damn nice I had a set of Depo bumper lights on my miata and they were great and held up the whole time I had the car and if you know miatas there low and I was dropped 2 inchs from stock.

All of the units on ebay are halogen based. Some of the sellers take the halogen 9005 and pre install an aftermarket hid kit. FWIW, there are three sellers on ebay with different names that I believe are actually the same seller as the messages come back from KT campus. The set I ordered was defective but I installed a morimoto hid kit (4300k) in them and the light output was good.....but the sticking high beam made me send them back.

I have had the sticking high beam once so far but after aiming them correctly I don't really need the High Beams. I'm thinking they are sticking because the shutter is getting stuck up I tapped on them and it came back down. So if high beams are needed for you I suggest looking into that. If it becomes a problem for me I will pull them out and shave the shutter.

I contacted fishcake on ebay and asked about the lights with the HID included and was told they don't carry it at this time. So I will be ordering the headlights and an hid kit with error cancellers from theretrofitsource (morimoto). Anyone has any input on better error cancellers than the morimoto ones? I've had to replace 2 already because they start throwing error codes and the lights stop working. I think it's the heat since I have mine mounted inside of the headlight.

Has anyone ordered these? http://www.parts4euro.com/depo-black...ss-p-3504.html they come with HID included, but are the ballasts mounted inside of the headlight? Any input on reliability?

Just installed my set today. No problems with high bean shutter sticking so far. I will post pics later

Biggest issue was same as odus, when it got dark the nights were aimed so low they were useless. I adjusted the knob on the lights and it's much better now.
Overall I am happy with the lights.

I believe those are the same ones fishcake sells as the pictures are exactly the same.

I hear ya.....I thought about leaving them in and hoping the shutter quit sticking at some point but I couldn't stand it. I know that I am not going to get OEM quality for this price but I would hope they function properly for at least a year. I am hopeful some of the later units will be trouble free.

Can you explain how you tapped on them? Where is this shutter even located?

I made a video for this on how to fix it!

Once I removed the bulb I had enough space to get into the hole (giggity) and tap the shutter closed again! There is enough space for you to put a small tool or pencil in there if you have fat fingers!

Not a huge issue since fixing it seems pretty easy!
Let me know if you guys get stuck!

Hahah answering your own question but I didn't even have to do that. The Shutter Like you found is inside the headlight. I just simply tapped with a little force not a huge hit on the gray plastic above the projector that happened to be stuck and saw it close back. Havent had it pop back up my lights turn on perfect every day in the garage and back off. Just like my acura doesn't even skip a beat love these lights.

I received my headlights from parts4euro http://www.parts4euro.com/depo-black...ss-p-3504.html

and they DO NOT have HIDs installed even though the description says they do. It's just a regular 9005 Phillips halogen bulb in the projector and for the "high beam" its an H7. i am contacting the vendor now. these seem to be ok quality. I wouldnt say OEM level but ok.

I hope there not OEM quality for that price plue OEM has auto leveling and adaptive these sure do not but not really needed. I wish I could get a side by side of my acura and the depo there not horrible for what they are but like I have said Acura has some of the best oem Cut off lines.

Sidemarkers do look good. Get out and check the high beams on a drive....leave them on a few mins and then make sure the shutter drops. I am going to reorder once I know the issues with the shutter got worked out. One seller on ebay has them for $323 now.....

If I bought the headlight without the 6000k kit installed, what else would I need to purchase? Would this cover it? http://www.theretrofitsource.com/hid...l#.U8MFyvldUc8

Also, does anyone know what temp is most similar to the OEM lighting package? The 6000K pairs posted here look great but I feel like they may be a touch too blue compared to OEM (no offense to anyone that bought them lol)

That HID kit with the canbus option and your golden. Yes the 6000k is blueish white I hate it but didn't wanna spend the money on the morimoto one. 4300K is oem color thats usually what I buy when I do Plug and Play kits and it is allways amazing.

Thanks for the help! I think I may go 5000K...I've got 5000K LEDs in my parking lights currently and I like how they pretty much match the lower LED DRLs. Would the install of the morimoto kit be difficult?
