Harmon Kardon System Question

Harmon Kardon System Question
Hello All,
I recently took my car in to the dealer fix the rear deck rattle on my 2011 C350 with Harmon Kardon System. When I got the car back the rattle was gone, but the bass was significantly reduced as well. I want to know if anyone with a Harmon Kardon system can help me out with my theory, as I suspect the stealership simply disconnected my subwoofer and any remaining bass I am hearing is coming from the rest of the system. I ran a quick test where I faded the audio to the front 2 speakers to see if the subwoofer in the rear would still remain on, and it does not. When I fade the sound to the rear of the car, I cannot tell if it is the subwoofer that is producing the bass or if its only the remaining speakers playing in the rear that output the bass. In a home theater system, regardless if the system is faded to the front or the rear, the subwoofer is consistently on, but I do not know if it is the case with our cars. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Does your rear sub remain on if you fade the audio to the front of the car? Thanks.

Try turning on the "Bass" to 10 and "Treble" to -10. You should be able to hear the sub more accurately this way, if there's hardly any pounding even with high volume then the dealer must've performed half a job.

If you got it done by the dealer and it doesn't work. Go back there and tell them to fix it. You made them already to "fix" it and if it wasn't done correctly, you make sure it gets done correctly now.

Attempt what Gashde said, but dont fade to the rear. Cause the Subwoofer doesnt fade with the speakers.
If its still not working just take it to the dealer... its under warranty for a reason. Quite possible they disconnected the sub in order to fix the rattle and forgot to plug it back in.

I just tested out the system with - Like a G6
Moved around with the settings, basically when +10 forward and -10 on the treble, +10 Bass, there's no sound playing from the rear speakers EXCEPT for the bass of the music, basically you can not completely eliminate the bass however you position the sound.
What I find is air being blown out of the rear speakers, I presume its from the subwoofer, you will feel the vibration and forced out air if you place your hand over the speakers behind the rear headrests.
Hope that helps
