P2263 code - turbocharger supercharger boost sys performance
Hi
Wonder if anyone can explain this, on my C250 2009 when I go on a long journey (2hr+) my engine light comes on and it drives sluggish. This only happens after every few weeks. If I park the car overnight or sometimes not drive the car for couple of hours the engine light goes off.
I have been to dealers twice both times when i got there the light turned off and when they check it no error comes up. I do long journeys at evenings am not able to take it to dealers when the EL is on. I once left the car to the dealers they drove it for few hours and told me EL didn't come on.
I bought a ODB II scanner and found the above error code. Told the dealers but the told me that they wouldn't be able to tell me the fault until they have checked it on their system.
Does anyone know what may be causing this.

Is your car modded? Search in OBD2 code databases show a generic description like what you listed. If your car is stock then I'd check things like the air filter, all the connections to the turbo unit, the intake pipe from the airbox to the turbo itself.
Also, from a Ford forum
"Code P2263 refers to a turbo actuator problem or turbo bearing problem caused by possible low engine oil level. Below is the posted problem explaining the issue:
Lack of power, fluid leakage from tailpipe, abnormal tailpipe sediment, white smoke, exhaust smell, check engine light on:
The above conditions may be accompanied by elevated engine idle, surging, engine knocking or the crankcase may be over full. Fluid frome the tailpipe may be coolant, fuel or oil.
If diagnostic codes P0087, P2291, P0263-P0284, P0300-P0308, or P1336 are retrieved, or if there is evidence of an internal fuel leak (fuel in the exhaust, over-full oil), the fuel supply to the injectors and the injectors should be checked for leakage. If the oil is not over-full the turbo bearings should be checked.
If the codes are P132B, P2262 or P2263, or there is evidence oil oil leaks or the oil level is low, turbo actuator operation and turbo bearings should be checked.
If there is evidence of coolant leakage from the exhaust or the coolant level is low, the EGR coolers should be tested.
Additional codes may include P244C or P244D for the DPF. Perform diagnosis on the above codes and engine noises as needed. Care should be taken when running the engine due to the likelyhood of piston hydro-lock/engine damage. TSB #07-8-9 "

Thanks for your response.
Its not modded, it had a new turbo put in 6 months ago and also DPF regenerated. I have seen some oil leak very recently at under the front end when the car was lifted to change the fog lamp unit.

You had a new turbo put in? Your car is at most what 2yrs old? Mine is a 2010 model and I'm still on the original turbo. Was it done at a dealer or indy mechanic? It's very possible they didn't install it correctly.

The turbo C250 was introduced in the U.S. for 2012. I hope the turbo unit is different from the the models elsewhere. Assuming OP is in Europe somewhere?
Volvos and Saabs and VW/Audi use turbos that last well past the rest of the car. Why would MB use turbos that need replacing so soon I wonder?

If it was done at the dealer then I would hope it was done correctly, then again it's not rare for dealers to screw up. Where are you located? Back on topic though, I would bring it to your dealer and find the source of the oil leak and see if it is related to your turbo. Good luck.

Check oil feed line to the turbo. The seal on the oil line right before the turbo has tendency to go bad and leak. I had mine replaced few months ago. I'm not saying that is the issue. But something you can cross off the list of possible problems.
